Proud to serve the Pontypridd Constituency
I am incredibly proud to have been re-elected to represent my hometown of Pontypridd and our wider community. I was delighted to receive my highest vote ever, with an extra 7,000 people putting their trust in me since the 2015 election. To all 22,000 of you who voted for me: thank you. I will continue to work hard to serve you in Pontypridd and at Westminster.
During the campaign, I spoke to hundreds of people from Tonyrefail to Tonteg, Trallwn to Talbot Green and Pontypridd to Pontyclun. It is clear to me that this election was about the public services we all use and rely upon and that people are sick and tired with Tory austerity.
Whether you voted for me or not, I will represent you and our community in the House of Commons to the best of my ability. I will continue to stand up for the Pontypridd constituency and be available to offer advice and assistance. If you feel I could help, please get in touch using the details below.
Beating the Bounds
Last weekend I was delighted to join Mick Antoniw AM and over 10,000 people from across south Wales and beyond for the much-anticipated Beating the Bounds celebration in Llantrisant. The event marks the town’s proud history dating back over 600 years.
Superbly organised by Llantrisant Town Trust with the support of Llantrisant Community Council, people travel from far and wide to see a truly unique cultural event that is held every seven years. The amazing turnout was a welcome boost for local businesses.
I was pleased to judge the art competition before embarking on the seven mile walk. The glorious sun, while very welcome, made the walk especially difficult in my suit!
Remembering Jo Cox MP
One year ago, my friend and colleague Jo Cox MP was murdered. Mick and I joined communities across the country holding a Great Get Together at Llantrisant’s Beating the Bounds – a fitting tribute to Jo’s message that we have more in common than that which divides us.
